Milwaukee
Over the weekend, a few friends and I decided to camp at Wyalusing State Park, in the driftless area of Wisconsin. It was about a 5 hour drive from Chicago; we stopped in Milwaukee for supplies though. First and foremost, some empanadas from Masa Empanada Bar!


Coming here is always a treat.
After, we picked up some steaks at Kettle Range Meat Company that ended up being really great!
Wyalusing State Park
We ended up camping in the Homestead campground loop (site 223) of the park. I really wanted to book the sites overlooking the Mississippi river, but those of course, were all taken.

We ended up going on hike that was really nice… but also really hard, aha. Just take a look at the elevation in strava!



You can see the little split in the map where we stopped to rest by the river, which was a nice oasis.



We came back to camp pretty hungry. Overall, we had tacos, steaks, and some great chili throughout our stay there!
