About a week ago now, we decided to camp out at Rock Cut State Park in Rockford. The purpose was mainly to test out the new Snowpeak Landlock X before it gets too cold. It was one day, no cooking (we ate at a couple of local restaurants), and just a chill fire.

This was also a great opportunity to checkout how camping is at the park, which was nice. Lots of camping spots for both RV and tent only. Best of all, a lot of the spots are pretty large to fit this monster of a tent. We specifically camped in the Hickory Hills, tent only section, site 34. We got lucky and the site next to us was empty, so we were able to utilize a lot of the space very comfortably. For future reference, a lot of the sites by the water are really nice and spacious (like site 60). Site 20 was super cool and semi private, just a little uneven, so we need to be careful about where to put the tent. Here is a map of the campgrounds.

The tent needless to say is great, much easier to put together than what it seems, a lot of possibilities for it! We had some tea at night and in the morning, a quick coffee, oatmeal, and pancake treats (from The Norwegian).
